The main character â a mysterious brown bear who appeared one day in Kaoru's apartment. He has a zipper on his back, hinting he might be someone in a costume. True to his name (relax + bear), he loves lounging around, eating pancakes, and avoiding any kind of effort.

Korilakkuma

A small white bear who is Rilakkuma's companion. Unlike the laid-back Rilakkuma, Korilakkuma is mischievous, energetic, and loves to play pranks. She has a red button on her chest instead of a zipper, and she can't sit still for long!

Kiiroitori

Kaoru's pet yellow bird who was living in her apartment before the bears arrived. Kiiroitori is the responsible one of the group â hardworking, tidy, and often frustrated by the lazy bears. Despite the scolding, Kiiroitori truly cares for everyone.

Chairoikoguma

A small honey-colored bear cub who joined the group in 2016. Chairoikoguma was raised by bees and absolutely loves honey â you can often see a bee friend buzzing nearby! This little cub is curious, innocent, and brings extra sweetness to the group.

Kaoru (ă«ăȘă«)
Kaoru is the human character in the Rilakkuma universe â an office worker whose apartment became home to the bears. She's a kind and patient young woman who has accepted her unexpected roommates, even though Rilakkuma lounges on her cushions and Korilakkuma causes chaos. Despite the messiness, Kaoru enjoys the company and the cozy atmosphere they create together.
